I have my own struggles with my mental health, more specifically with anxiety. I recently wrote this poem:
You blind me, you chase me
You choke me, you race me
You may never ever go away
I may never ever know you by your name
Apparently I should resist, To acknowledge you exist
You always tell me I’m the one to blame
I may never ever call you by your name
But they don’t see you at two in morning
When you call over without any warning
They don’t hear all the lies you feed me
When I don’t know how to stop the bleeding
It’s true as the sky is blue
You are me, I am you
You’re the excuse that I use for this half-life I’m leading
You’re treason to my reason when I can’t deal with breathing
You are me, I am you

We rely on the generosity of the public to fund our work and so far together we have achieved great things! Please do continue to support us so we can provide future generations in Ireland with the resources to recognise and talk about their emotions, and equip them to navigate the ever-changing world around them as they grow
