Who: Daire Lynch, Painter
What: Oil and watercolour painting
We have a duality to ourselves, the us we show the world and the us we keep to ourselves. Though the paintings are not specifically about mental health, they are about the human condition and all it entails. We hold ourselves closed off to protect ourselves, though may yearn to open up to others.
And the black dog, oh that big black dog often just sitting there in the shadows.
Bio:
Daire is a self taught painter, focusing on figurative art, attempting to capture expression, emotion and gesture in his paintings.
When not painting or creating, he can be found in the wilds of Connemara, be it woods, lakes, or the powerful Atlantic Ocean. He recently became the Alpha in a pack of wolves, by showing no fear, tenacious attitude, and willingness to fight for meat.
