Young Irish band The Matthews to donate all funds from their new single ‘Save Me’ to Teenline

Young up and coming Irish band The Matthews are launching their new single ‘Save Me’ on Oct 10th and are donating every single cent from the sales on itunes to Teenline, which supports teenagers in distress.

A few words from the band

We are a young Irish band and in this video we are trying to highlight the impulsiveness of teenagers that can sometimes lead to a sudden, rash attempt at suicide. Because suicide can be so impulsive in teens, it’s extremely hard to predict who might be at risk.

We hope our video might help teenagers open up about some of the challenges they might be facing and get people talking about the issue, as well as raising awareness about Teenline’s great service.

We’d love you to check out the video and help spread the word. You can purchase our single ‘Save me’ on Oct 10th here produced in LA by Record Producer Warren Huart (Aerosmith, The Fray).

Thank you, Max, Art and Jack.

Teenline provides a free telephone helpline for teenagers and is Ireland’s only dedicated teenage helpline. Last year they had over 20,000 calls and this year there is another 10% increase on this.

It was set up by Maureen Bolger in 2006 after the tragic death of her teenage son Darren in 2003 in Tallaght. Maureen wanted to provide a safe place where teenagers can talk.

Support Our Campaign

We rely on the generosity of the public to fund our work and so far together we have achieved great things! Please do continue to support us so we can provide future generations in Ireland with the resources to recognise and talk about their emotions, and equip them to navigate the ever-changing world around them as they grow
