Simple Pilates exercises to help ease anxiety at this time of year

In this video you will see me guide Laura through some basic Pilate’s exercises that can have a great effect on the mind, helping to ease any mind strain you may be feeling under at this time of year.

We started the session seated upright on the mat to practice a breathing technique. Starting your practice this way will ensure the body is not closed in tension and also allows your mind to focus better.

We then came into a shell stretch, pointing out the optimal area to channel breath into the lungs.

During our session we practiced a few more strength based exercises. These are the ones we have selected as a Christmas reprieve treat as they can truly help ease anxiety at what can be a stressful time of year for many.

Hope you enjoy.
