Zack, Mairéad, and Anisha discuss Mental Health inequalities within the LGBTQIA+ Community to highlight and support World Mental Health Day: Mental Health in an Unequal World.
Zack, Mairead and Anisha will be discussing mental health inequalities within the LGBTQIA+ community, drawing upon themes of rejection and identity, along with their own experiences as members of the community and how this has affected their own mental health.
Zack is a 24 year old living in Cardiff who has just graduated from his Masters, through his Instagram @ocdestigmatize Zack hopes to help raise awareness around the realities of OCD.
Mairéad Ruane is a mental health activist from Rhyl, North Wales. Mairéad is studying a MASc Creative Health and wants to raise awareness of social issues and misunderstood mental illnesses like OCD in the media.
Anisha Jackson (she/her) is a writer from London. Her writing revolves around the aesthetics of the everyday and her relationship with her mother’s home country, Nepal. She also writes about lesbian love. Anisha is currently studying for an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths University, London.
