Start noticing your automatic behaviours that do not make you feel good

start-noticing-your-automatic-behaviours-that-do-not-make-you-feel-good

In this era where most things are fast and disposable, in this era of rampant consumerism, there would appear to be no time to focus on areas of our lives that require our attention. We have been taught to value goals, achievements, accomplishments, surface encounters more than the relationship we have with ourselves and with others.

In the face of this, somehow, we are like a child who has too many toys but always wants something else to play with. We forget to be present with what happens inside us and around us. Or simply, we do not know how to do it, because we only learned how to achieve. We have been running around for a long time blindly trying to achieve, achieve and achieve. It has been like climbing a mountain, staring fixedly at the top, preventing ourselves from enjoying the journey and the magnificence that was right in front of us.

We can spend much of our lives in this way, running towards the goal, and in the rush to achieve it, we forget about health, relationships, moments of intimacy and affection. More importantly we end up living in a vacuum, without appreciating or cultivating love for ourselves or for others.

The most important thing at this stage is to decide that you want to change, and we can start learning how to do it, right now. How? By having the right disposition and putting our attention on what we want to change, even if we do not know how. By allowing something new to happen, with the help of two tools: appreciation and gratitude. Since this is a process of internal change based on well-being, it is not necessary to force anything. It is like a journey, an adventure, a day of exploration.

Change how? Change what? By being self-aware, we will start noticing the automatic behaviours that do not make us feel good. Then we can direct our attention inwards and observe exactly what they make us feel. Without forcing anything, our attention observes, and perhaps for the first time with clarity, we see that it no longer serves us to do those things, that they do not bring us peace, and do not make us happy.

Now that we have learned to focus on them, we can change a little every time they appear. We can appreciate what we are doing, and that we could not see this before, because we were not aware. Now we are creating an alternative path of great value for ourselves.

And so, very naturally, as in a garden where the buds are about to open, uncovering their beauty and releasing their perfume, love-consciousness begins to vibrate as an energy that is felt in the heart and expands more and more in each moment. For when we appreciate and give gratitude, when we value what we have, love grows within us. In learning to value, we begin to see how beautiful it is to enjoy each moment, to give one hundred percent, to trust, and to see how everything is developing naturally and perfectly.

Because of this change, of this inner growth, you will see that you also start to focus on unity instead of separation. And then, focused on appreciation, on gratitude, on unity, you will only experience the vibration of love, for it is the music of the heart. It is your language. And let that be, in every moment, your life from today onwards. And what could be worth more than that?
