Many of us still and society as a whole has an odd relationship with therapy and counselling. We can go to physiotherapists when we hurt our backs, doctors when we feel sick, yet we can’t go and talk to someone when our mind needs some support.
Everybody on this planet could benefit from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help them cope with all that life throws at them, yet we in general ignore it, or are too worried what others may think if we go for therapy. For me, I look at it like going to the gym for my mind, and CBT is the mother of all routines.
It is fast becoming one of the more successful treatment therapies for those with depression and anxiety but it can also be implemented to anyone wanting to bolster their mental fitness and capabilities.
Although face to face CBT would be more preferential, if this is not an option for you for whatever reason be it not being ready to go for face to face or for other personal reasons, online CBT has proven incredibly effective.
