This Saturday is #worldmentalhealthday and we’re delighted to bring you a full line-up of events across our social media.
The day will kick start with a video from Fiona Brennan – Clinical Hypnotherapist – The Positive Habit telling us what we can all collectively do to look after our mental health and the mental health of others.
Join us at 8:30am for ‘Storytime’ with Emma Cahill Author who will be reading from her children’s mental health book ‘Under the Mask’. The story is about three loveable superheroes teaching children how to recognise and manage their emotions. Blaze, Crash and Rustle teach children how to activate their superpowers (coping mechanisms) to help deal with their strong feelings in a safe way.
Kick starting at 9am, throughout the day we will be posting episodes of our ‘Where There’s A Will’ podcast. This is a podcast about the mental health system in Ireland. In this six part series, we ask why our mental health system is so dysfunctional, who is responsible for making change happen, and how we can collectively respond, join the dots, and make things better for all of us.
At 2pm, Bressie and Andrea from Social Fabric & Mindfulwest Run will be live on Instagram to talk about the importance of tribes and minding our minds. This will be posted on our socials to watch back after the live has ended.
At 8pm we will hear from Dr. Malie Coyne – Clinical Psychologist for a check in on how we’re all doing and how parents can look after themselves in these new restrictions while managing home life, school, work and everything in between.
At 8:30pm Dr. Eddie Murphy and Sam (the dog) will be on to talk to us about how we can stay positive and get through the latest restrictions.
Grab the popcorn because at 9:00pm we have an incredible evening in store – An Evening With Jerry Fish. Our Ciara met Jerry Fish and his beautiful dog honey in the fabulous The Mullichain Cafe. They talk over tea about Jerry’s life with some magnificent inspiration from Jerry – don’t miss out.
Support Our Campaign
We rely on the generosity of the public to fund our work and so far together we have achieved great things! Please do continue to support us so we can provide future generations in Ireland with the resources to recognise and talk about their emotions, and equip them to navigate the ever-changing world around them as they grow
