Social Entrepreneurs Ireland

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland have been fundamental to our success, and we were incredibly fortunate to have been awarded a Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Impact Award in 2016, which gave us vital funding to move on a number of projects, as well as helping us ‘keep the lights on’. SEI are the first organisation in Ireland dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs, people who were developing new, innovative solutions to address the entrenched social and environmental challenges we face; and they do an incredible amount of good in the world.

ESB Energy Generations Fund

We have been lucky enough to have been the recipient of two ESB Energy Generations Funds, the first of which helped us so much in our early stages of growth back in 2015, as well as with a recent fund in 2018. One of ESB’s pillars of focus with this fund has been Suicide Prevention, and under this pillar, ESB have funded organisations like ourselves who are doing vital work with young people, and funding mental health services and initiatives to break the stigma surrounding mental health. It is a vital grant for so many organisations and we are thrilled to have received the benefit of their funding and support twice.

Revive Active

Revive Active have recently partnered with A Lust for Life as a sponsor for a flagship A Lust for Life original podcast series, which is currently in production. We are lucky enough to have Revive Active on board to fund this critical piece of work as the sole sponsor. Revive Active’s mission is about holistic health promotion and it extends to funding social enterprises with social missions. We’re privilaged to have them on board for this project which will help us achieve one of A Lust for Life’s main goals for 2018.

Creative Ireland

Creative Ireland have funded us to build and create a pilot for a really exciting concept in schools in 2019. It’s called ‘Future Flix‘, and will use mental wellness content, created ‘by children for children‘, to build a ‘Netflix of mental health for schools’ platform which will host this content, and ultimately reach every school in Ireland.

Irish Youth Foundation

We are partnering with Irish Youth Foundation to pilot our ‘Future Flix’ programme in 4 schools and 4 homework clubs in 2019, and conduct an external evaluation of the pilot programme.

Social Innovation Fund

We are thrilled to receive funding from Social Innovation Fund, Ireland, under their #EmpoweringYouth strategy. This funding will help us to build and scale our ‘Future Flix’ platform for schools, and help us to give children, teachers and schools innovative schools to engage with mental health, resilience and wellbeing.

Innovate Together Fund

We’re thrilled to be an Awardee of the Innovate Together Fund from Rethink Ireland for ‘Gone Past Talking’ – A programme equipping young people with tools and a voice to take on issues and society’s challenges they care about to create the kind of world they want to inherit.

€1.3 million was announced today in the second round of funds to 20 projects in the community and social enterprise sector, for their innovative response to COVID-19.

This is the second round of awards in the Innovate Together Fund as a response to COVID-19 by Rethink Ireland and corporate partners which include the Z Zurich Foundation, Oakfield Trust, Medtronic and Twitter; bringing the total fund to a record €5.6 million in 2020. 20 projects from all over Ireland are receiving cash grants from €20,000 to €200,000. The areas of innovation cover Sustainable Ireland, Economic Recovery, Food Security and Community Outreach.

The Care Trust

A Lust for Life is delighted to have been selected by The Care Trust and awarded a grant to help us build the next phase of our the A Lust for Life Schools Programme for 1st and 2nd class pupils, enabling us to produce a brand new set of educational materials, psychological supports and video content aimed at this specific age group and developmental stage.

For over 50 years The Care Trust has been raising essential funds to support the work of the CRC, Rehab and special charitable projects. Their work ensures that many thousands of children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities and those who are socially disadvantaged have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and enjoy the same quality of life as everyone else.

Arthur Cox

The team at Arthur Cox (via their subsidiary Bradwell Limited) provide Company Secretary services and this is provided as pro bono support to A Lust for Life. A very special and very warm thanks to Emma Hickey, Beryl Sharpe and Roseanne Connolly.
