Take off at the Cork Airport Runway 5k
The Irish Independent today launched the “Irish Independent A Lust For Life Runway 5k” down in Cork Airport.
This is an exciting new event on the running calendar giving runners the opportunity to experience Cork Airport in a completely unique way.
On Saturday November 21st at 23:59, Cork Airport will be closed off for 1,500 runners to complete a 5k course along the runway.
The event is in conjunction with A Lust For Life, successor to Niall Breslin’s (A.K.A Bressie’s) My1000Hours website. A Lust For Life is a movement for well-being that creates information, ideas, events and inspiration for people around mental fitness, physical health, soul and society, with the aim of building a more resilient world.
Entry to the event costs €20 with all entrants receiving their own goodie and A Lust For Life technical t-shirt.
Charity Partners
Our chosen charity partners for the event are Cork Children’s Hospital and the Cork Mental Health Foundation. You can complete donations to either charity during the registration process. Alternatively further information on how to raise funds for either online will be available in your confirmation email.
